OLG Presents City with Cheque

The annual contributions were celebrated with a cheque presentation from OLG to the City of Woodstock.

WOODSTOCK - A partnership between the City of Woodstock and OLG helps local organizations.

A cheque presentation was held at City Hall this afternoon to highlight the annual contributions the City gets from OLG. During the 2023 fiscal year, Ingamo Homes received $30,000 through the Community grant program. 
The funds are given back to the City for hosting Gateway Casino Woodstock. Executive Director of Ingamo Homes, Diane Harris says the grant has gone a long way.

"That was really exciting for us. We are on such limited budgets, that we don't have the extras for the little programs that we need."

Harris also speaks to what the money went towards.

"We were able to buy a good security system that looks out at each building, and the rears of each building, and also most importantly the parking lots."

Harris adds the people using the organization's services usually come from situations that might not be safe, so having a community where safety is at the forefront is paramount.
