The Vets couldn't keep up with Paris Mounties Saturday night.
After a wild night and close game in New Hamburg on Friday, the Navy Vets couldn't keep up with Paris.
The Mounties took an early 2-0 lead after the first period but poured it on heavy in the middle frame, scoring six times to go on and beat Woodstock 9-0.
Patrick Tanner and Michael Roefs shared the duties in net facing a total of 48 shots on goal.
The Vets home to rebound when they finally hit home ice again Friday night. It will be a tough match up for Woodstock as they host the first place Ayr Centennials. Woodstock have been on the road since November 3rd.
In other Midwestern Jr C hockey action, Burford doubled up on Delhi 6-3 while New Hamburg edged Wellesley 5-4.
The Thamesford Trojans squeaked one by the Mt Brydges Bulldogs 6-5 in Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League play.
