Expect delays this Spring, Summer and Fall as the County starts a major construction project on Mill Street.
WOODSTOCK - Construction starts today at Mill Street in Woodstock.
Expect major delays this Spring as the County is doing a three phased project that will see the installation of a new watermain, storm sewers and road improvements. The $3.3 million dollar investment will enhance the roadway for years to come.
Work starts today between Queen St. and Athlone Avenue.
The Mill St. construction project is broken down into three sections:
- Watermain replacement from Queen St. to Parkinson Rd. will begin in March and continue through mid-summer, followed by road resurfacing that will take it into the fall.
- Road reconstruction will be taking place between Parkinson Rd. and Pember's Pass from May until the fall.
- Road resurfacing from Pember’s Pass to Athlone will start in June and will be completed in the fall.
Local businesses will stay open during the construction and the County will make sure you can still access them. They also have provisions in place for public transit, emergency services along with garbage and recycling collection.
