OPP hold blitz after a rash of vehicle entires in Norwich
Oxford OPP have been testing residents of Norwich to see if they are heeding the advice, "Lock It or Lose It."
According to stats released by the OPP, they checked 1,170 vehicles Monday and Tuesday. Of those, 918 were locked while 21% were unlocked.
Police say they initiated the check due to an increasing number of vehicle entries in that area.
OPP are encouraging vehicle owners to lock their doors and never leave valuable objects or packages in full view. It's suggested to place them in the trunk or remove them from the vehicle.
