A family from Tillsonburg has been hit with some terrifying news. Nathan Bull has been diagnosed with a rare cancer, and the Town has come through with donations.
TILLSONBURG - A whirlwind has hit the Bull family of Tillsonburg.
On November 30th, Nathan Bull was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called dedifferentiated liposarcoma.
Nathan's mom, Tamara Bull says what took place after the diagnosis.
"My daughter in-law, Courtney decided to start a Go Fund Me page, guessing if it is that rare, perhaps treatment might not be available in Canada, and we better start seeking other areas for treatments."
Bull says M and J Tirecraft has shown support along with other businesses in town.
"Yesterday, another business in town, Indigo Lounge and Wellness and Eatery are accepting donations, and then Makkink's Flower Farm on North Street here in Tillsonburg said the same thing, and they have a donation jar inside their shop."
She adds, M and J Tirecraft took money of a bill to donate towards the efforts, along with another donation, and setting up a program for the month of December, where every $10 undercoat will be donated to the cause. They have also put a donation jar in their shop.
So far just under $53,000 has been donated with the Go Fund Me. You can visit the Save Nathan Facebook page to find the link for the Go Fund Me page.
Nathan will be going to Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto next Tuesday, which could develop a plan as to what the next steps could be.
