Doanlea farms has been honoured on the national level, after receiving Master Breeder Status from Holstein Canada.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - A cow farm in Norwich Township has received Master Breeder status from Holstein Canada.
Doanlea Farms is one of three recipients in Ontario; 14 in the country.
Fraser Doan says this is a lifetime achievement for the local business that's owned and operated by his family.
"We are currently fourth generation. On our farm we milk 140 cows and also crop some land for cash crop; 1,400 acres."
Fraser a driving force behind the business today with his brother John and their father; Former Township Mayor Don Doan.
Fraser says they are all looking forward to the National Holstein Convention's Master Breeder Banquet.
"We're all hoping to head to Quebec City for four days in the middle of April before we get busy on the farmland."
