Oxford County Libraries will keep kids minds engaged over the summer with special activities and events.
Oxford County Libraries will offer lots of Canada themed activities and programs this summer in honour of Canada's 150th birthday.
The 14 branches will also have their own Mad Science and Story Time in the park theme days at some point over the next couple of months. Kennedy's Critters might even stop by some of the locations. Outreach and Team Librarian Meagan Berry says the libraries will also offer new teen programs.
"Anyone that is 11 and up is eligible to come to the Teen programs and we are doing things like an escape room and tie dying shirts to do geocaching."
The popular Teen Photography Contest is also underway. Book worms can also sign up now for the summer reading club.
Berry says you can find more information about all of these programs online.
"We have an online calendar where all of our summer events are posted, so you can see what branches the magical Mr. O will be at or where Kennedy's Critters will be and we have a lot of exciting events that will be happening at all of our branches."
