Eight people have now tested positive for COVID-19 at St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School in Woodstock and the LDCSB has decided to temporarily close the school as a result.
WOODSTOCK - Another school in Woodstock has temporarily closed following several cases of COVID-19.
The London District Catholic School Board is now reporting eight positive cases of the virus at St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School and some of them are variants of concern. The board says about two thirds of the school's more than 350 students and staff are currently self-isolating.
The school is closed until at least March 28th and students will learn online for the time being. The board is hoping to resume in-person classes on March 29th.
The LCDSB decided to temporarily close St. Micheal's Catholic Elementary School just over two weeks ago. Five people have tested positive for the virus including two variants of concern. The school is scheduled to reopen on March 25th.
You can find a list of all the active cases of COVID-19 within the LDCSB online here.
