There's only two team spots remaining for the 18 plus dodgeball tournament.
WOODSTOCK - United Way Oxford is expanding the registration for its UDodge tournament.
It was previously looking for 16 teams to register for the dodgeball tournament at Huron Park Secondary School on Saturday April 12th, but it recently decided to up the limit to 20 due to high demand. Registration was full and two teams have already registered since the expansion, so there's only two spots remaining at this time.
UDodge is an 18 plus, co-ed tournament and you must have eight to 10 people on your team. Each team has to fundraise at least $500 to register, but Resource Development Manager Amanda Kreiger says its easier than it sounds.
"Every team and every player get put onto an online site through Canada Helps, so you can send your page out through text, e-mail or social media to help raise money and there is great prizes if you raise more than the minimum."
The teams also have to select a team name, a team theme song that will play when your team is introduced, and team uniforms are also encouraged.
The tournament runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Kreiger says each team will be able to play multiple times no matter their skill level.
"Everybody is guaranteed three games before lunch (provided by Boston Pizza), then we break for a lunch break and begin tournament play after lunch."
The champions will be presented with the coveted wrench trophy. Prizes will also be awarded to the top three individual fundraisers, the top team fundraiser and the Above and Beyond award.
Those interested in registering a team, volunteering or sponsoring the tournament can e-mail Amanda Kreiger at Amanda@unitedwayoxford.ca.
