Increasing nature conservation is the goal of a new partnership between The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority the World Wildlife Fund Canada.
WOODSTOCK - Local conservation areas will be benefiting from a new partnership.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has found a new partner in the World Wildlife Fund Canada.
Marketing Specialist, Steve Sauder on the mission for the partnership.
"Together we're going to try and increase the number of people that get involved in the environmental programs. and we're going to pilot it this summer at Woodstock at Pittock Conservation Area, and Wildwood Conservation Area in St. Mary's and Fanshawe Conservation Area in London."
Sauder continues, saying that their goal is to double the visitors.
"Our target is to reach one million people annually over the next ten years with this message. Right now we have about 500 000 people visit our conservation areas each year so we are trying to reach those people first."
They will develop new activities for the conservation areas to try to attract more visitors.
