INGERSOLL - An investment from the province will help build new homes in Ingersoll.
The Ontario government is giving a total of $2,472,875 to cover water infrastructure and help with the construction of approximately 489 new homes. The money is coming through the Housing-Enabling Core Servicing Stream under the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program.
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says this is great news for the community.
"This is wonderful news for Ingersoll. This investment is a vital step in ensuring the community can grow sustainably while continuing to deliver safe and reliable water services to residents. I commend the town for its proactive planning and commitment to building a strong future for families and businesses in Ingersoll."
The town will use the funding on the Secondary Plan Phase 2 Stormwater Management Pond.
