A Tillsonburg resident was charged in Norwich Township, and a Woodstock resident was charged in East Zorra-Tavistock.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP/EZT - Oxford OPP officers charged two people with impaired driving, just over 24-hours apart.
The first incident happened in Norwich Township at around 8:00 p.m. Thursday night, when officers responded to an e-bike in the ditch on Oxford Road 13. No one was hurt, and a 65-year-old from Tillsonburg was charged.
The second incident was in East Zorra-Tavistock at around 8:30 p.m. On Friday. Officers were on general patrol in the area of Highway 2 and 11th Line when they spotted a vehicle swerving into oncoming traffic. Officers were able to stop that vehicle and charge the 49-year-old from Woodstock who was behind the wheel.
Both of the drivers have been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. They also face a 90-day licence suspension and a week-long vehicle impound.
