Woodstock Police Service says a suspected impaired driver reversed his vehicle into a police cruiser, causing minor damage to his vehicle and the cruiser.
WOODSTOCK -- Woodstock Police charged a man with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample early Saturday.
Police say an alert citizen reported the driver to police after he ran a red light at about 2:18 a.m. while heading northbound on Wilson Street at Peel Street.
Police were in the area and stopped the man on Dundas Street west of Wilson.
Police say while the responding officer had the Woodstock man pulled over he put his black Honda Civic into reverse and struck the cruiser, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
No one was injured.
The suspect appears in court in early April.
