The CP Holiday Train will actually be stopping in Woodstock tonight, rather than passing us by.
It's the first time in 6-years the "train of lights" will be stopping in the Friendly City.
CP Spokesperson, Kevin Hyrsak says some local lobbying gave CP the sign they needed to put Woodstock back on the schedule. "We've had some interest from radio stations like yourself, and members in the community to come back and we're more than happy that we're able to bring a stop back to Woodstock this year."
Hyrsak says once the train stops at 6:45, the fun begins. "We've got a great show lined up with the Brothers Dube, Tracey Brown and the Claytones. It is a free event, and all that we ask is people bring a non-perishable food item, or a monetary donation."
Food and monetary donations will go to Woodstock's Salvation Army.
Hyrsak says the holiday train has become a holiday tradition for many families, but if you haven't been, you won't want to miss the attraction. "Each train consists of roughly 14 well decorated cars in various festive themes with thousands of LED lights."
