OXFORD COUNTY - Two council members of Oxford County were given a proper send-off during a presentation in a Oxford County council meeting on Wednesday.
Margaret Lupton and Marion Wearn retired after serving many years as council members.
Lupton says she enjoyed working with everyone throughout the years.
"I've made wonderful friendships and that's a gift that you get from this job."
After serving over ten years as a council member, Lupton will now serve as a councillor in East Zorra-Tavistock.
Meanwhile, Wearn says she'll have more spare time.
"I'm trying to gather together all the knitters in the township to knit touques and mitts for the food banks that we've started in the community and the schools."
