WOODSTOCK - The Good Human Project has been delivering groceries for free to local seniors and anyone stuck in quarantine or self isolation.
They currently have 10 volunteers working to deliver groceries. They do want to make sure that the people taking advantage of this program are seniors, in self-isolation or have an auto immune disease.
Another thing they are asking is to try to limit your delivery requests to every two weeks as some people are calling every other day. They do ask that you arrange your payment ahead of time with the grocery store or have cash ready to pay for them.
The service is making a huge difference in our community and is available to anyone who needs the help and should be staying home.
The project is run completely by volunteers. You can utilize the service by calling for texting 647-546-2013. They are also looking for more volunteers and you can volunteer by calling same number.
You can also follow the Good Human Project on Facebook. They have been doing plenty of good deeds in the community, including delivering pizza's to first responders and front line workers.
