Members of the Future Oxford partnership have some big plans for 2018.
OXFORD COUNTY - Members of the Future Oxford Partnership are celebrating a successful 2017 and looking forward to 2018.
Chair Randy Peltz talks about some of their successful moments from this past year.
"The Future Oxford Expo was one. Advancing everything around the environmental sustainability as well; many speaker series investments in this community and investments in people."
The partnership also helped improve electric vehicle mobility infrastructure in the county and worked to restore Hodges Pond.
Petlz says they have big plans for next year.
"We had conducted this year the community index of well being quality of life of Oxford residents so we're planning to prioritize within what the residents told us what are the most important pieces to tackle in 2018."
The partnership will also look to address poverty and improve voter turn out in the upcoming municipal election.
They have asked county council to provide them with $155,620 out of next year's budget, the same amount they requested for 2017.
