The region is experiencing a strong start to home sales this year.
OXFORD COUNTY - Home sales in the region are still running strong, with activity in the first two months of the year topping the 160 market for the fourth time.
Sales activity for residential property is up 32 percent, with new listings declining 15 point 5 percent on a year-by-year basis...the fewest new listings in the month of February since 2001.
The average price of homes sold last month was 254 thousand 975 dollars - a jump of 5 point 8 percent from last year.
The dollar value of all residential property sales is also up 39 point 4 percent, amounting to 22 point 2 million dollars overall.
William Cattle, President of the Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board advises that the tight market conditions are likely to push prices even higher.
