A motorcycle was forced off the road yesterday resulting in a fatality.
CHARLOTTEVILLE - A motorcycle crash in Norfolk yesterday ended in a fatality.
At around 2pm, Norfolk OPP and emergency services responded to a call at Spooky Hollow Road in Charlotteville. Police say that a blue coloured motorcycle was going southwest with other motorcycle riders when the driver left the roadway. The rider then went to the west side of the road where he collided with a metal gate and a tree.
As a result of the collision, the rider sustained life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
OPP don't believe that speed or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 38-year-old Phillip E. Howard of London.
