Canada's Outdoor Farm Show comes to Woodstock for three days on September 15th to the 17th.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County is getting ready for one of the biggest events of the year as Canada's Outdoor Farm Show returns.
For 3 days over 750 vendors descend onto the farm show property located just west of Woodstock. Communications Coordinator for the Farm Show, Carol Carson, explains how everything is coming along before the show kicks off on Tuesday. "The site is very busy lots of action with exhibitors already setting up, even the indoor tent spaces are being filled up. Our attendance last year was around 42,800 each year I think we have slight increases in attendance, for sure we are aiming for that 40,000 so we draw from all over which is great."
Running from the 15th-17th the event will attract a nationwide audience and Carson explains what you will see by attending. "We are a show geared to farmers, we're a business to business show that attracts farmers that want to see the latest equipment in action. If you want are interested in agriculture and you want to learn more it is a great place every year, we have lots of new demonstrations and events happening, and we hope to see you."
Carson spoke to Heart FM about why the show is held every year in Oxford County. "I think just with their richness of agriculture in the area, the dairy industry is huge here and dairy is a big component of our show. This is just the heart of the agricultural land in Ontario, so it is the perfect place." For farmers Carson added this is the one annual event that must not be missed.
You can visit Heart FM Live on Location at the farm show from 9 am until 2pm each day!
