As of April 1st, Operation Sharing will no longer offer the grocery cards.
WOODSTOCK - Operation Sharing is phasing out its Food for Friends cards in Woodstock.
People in need will only be able to access the grocery cards on Mondays and Wednesdays as of January 31st.
They will no longer be available after March 31st, but Operation Sharing will continue to offer it's Food for Friends program. This means people in need will have access food, hygiene products and clothing from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
In a statement released yesterday, Executive Director Tim Dukes said the organization is going to shift its focus more on its emergency shelter services and meal programs to better serve the needs of the community.
