Environment Canada says the extreme heat will continue through to Friday.
OXFORD COUNTY - It doesn't look like this heat warning is ending anytime soon.
Environment Canada is now expecting the heat wave to continue through to Friday.
Here in Oxford County, we've been getting daytime highs between 30 and 35, feeling more like the low 40s with the humidity. We've had little relief from the heat overnight with lows between 20 and 23, feeling more like the high 20s.
Make sure you drink lots of water and stay in a cool place whenever possible. You can find a list of all of the local cooling centres on the Southwestern Public Health website.
The extreme heat can affect everyone's health but the risks are greater for seniors, infants, young children, pregnant mothers, people with disabilities or mobility issues, and people with physical or mental illnesses.
