Police are concerned about a driver who was seen fleeing the scene of a single vehicle collision as the vehicle is significantly damaged. Police searched the area, however have not been able to locate the driver.
NORWICH - The Oxford OPP Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team came up short in their search for a driver who fled the scene after rolling their vehicle and ending up in a ditch.
The crash happened around 3:45 this morning in the area of Highway 59 and Oxford Road 14, in Norwich Township.
Constable Patti Cote says the driver was seen leaving the crash on foot.
"A witness said that they saw the driver fleeing. At this time the investigation is ongoing. We obviously have some concerns as to whether or not the driver sustained any injuries."
So far the investigation has determined that the driver lost control causing the vehicle to roll and ended up in the north ditch causing significant damage to the vehicle.
