The Embro Fire Department will be hosting a drive-in Canada Day fireworks display at the Embro Truck and Tractor Pull site on Friday July 2nd.
EMBRO - The Embro Fire Department will light up the night sky this Canada Day weekend.
It's going to host a fireworks display at the site of the Embro Truck and Tractor Pull on Friday July 2nd.
Firefighter Gerry Brandow says they're currently planning a drive-in event but that could change in the future depending on Public Health measures.
"As of right now it's going to be a drive-in style event, so you'll basically have to stay in your vehicle. But with the second wave of reopening, it might open up a little bit more so you can get out of the car, sit in your lawn chair and watch the fireworks."
If that's the case, Brandow says firefighters will be enforcing physical distancing protocols to prevent large groups from gathering.
Brandow says it's going to be a great show.
"We've had a really good commitment from all of the sponsors and we've had good donations come in. It's looking like we're going to have a $10,000 show and it will probably go for 20 to 25 minutes."
It free to watch but donations will be accepted, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Embro splash pad fundraiser.
The show will be rescheduled for Saturday July 3rd if it happens to rain.
