WOODSTOCK - The Downtown Farmers Market in Woodstock is going to run on Canada Day this year.
Most of the vendors will be downtown selling locally grown food at Market Square. Manager of the Woodstock Downtown BIA Kelly Morrison tells Heart FM why they are opening on Canada Day. "We are opening the market on Canada Day because we can, we got special permission from the city to open on Canada Day, we have done this in the past and it is very popular as it allows people to get some fresh local food on a day where almost every other store is closed."
Morrison says almost all of the normal vendors will be there and in the past the Canada Day Markets have been very popular because almost everything else is closed. On Wednesday the Market will run from 10 am to 2 pm and then they will be open on Thursday with their normal hours from noon to 5 pm.
Here is the complete list of vendors who will be at the market this week.
-Red Barn Berries
