Voters will have options when it comes to who is crowned mayor of Norwich Township.
NORWICH -- Don Doan is looking to make it three in a row as he files his papers for re-election in Norwich Township.
Doan says since Norwich is a two tier municipality, his experience working with County officials is one reason he believes he's the right man for the job.
"It's hard for us to do anything on our own so I'm well aware of the people. I know the contacts and the heads of departments and I enjoy it as well."
"Our present council and myself have got a lot of long range planning that has been done and we are marching through that in good order and I would like to see the rest of that long range planning looked after that has been laid out for several years."
Doan says one of the big issues facing the municipality is the lack of accommodations for seniors wishing to live outside of their homes.
"We do not have very many spaces available for them to stay in the Village of Norwich. So often they have to go to Woodstock, Tillsonburg or Ingersoll to get into those kinds of apartments. We really see a need so they can stay in their own community here."
Doan is not the only mayoral candidate on the ballot at this point, Larry Martin has also filed papers.
