A familiar face has returned to the council table in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - Tillsonburg council is whole once again.
That after former mayor Brenda Carroll agreed to fill the empty seat at council that was created when Dave Beres moved into the mayor's chair once John Lessif stepped down in April.
Carroll says her intention is simply to fill out this term of council so they can get on with their business but she will not be seeking a seat in the upcoming election.
"It's actually just the scenario as it worked out. It was kind of a moving target. It seemed to me and I was asked if I would consider, that it would be a good fit to fill in this interim seat on council."
"My intentions are simply to fill out this term of council so they can get on with their business so they can get on with their business and do their campaigns. I have no wishes to go beyond this, but this is not the first time this has happened, nor the same timing and I ended up as the interim mayor at that time."
Carroll says she is happy to help out.
"Once you've been there, you never really leave it. Always interested in the community and if I can serve again in that capacity I will do it to the best of my ability."
Carroll has already completed one meeting with the current council.
