Students from College Ave Secondary School will bring the iconic story of Grease to life on stage.
WOODSTOCK - College Avenue Secondary School is ready to raise the curtain for the opening night of its production of Grease.
50 students and 20 staff have been hard at work preparing for the three-day showing, with the debut performance happening tonight.
RJ Downey, who is playing the role of the iconic Danny Zuko, is excited to dive into the 50s era.
"There was a bit of pressure going into this when I first got cast for the role, but you know I think I'm finally starting to make the character my own in a weird way. I'm really giving it my all, I'm accentuating that 50's and 60's teenage drama."
Co-star Maddy Miller, who is playing the role of Sandy Olsson, expressed her love for the film's growing up.
"It's been an honour playing the role of Sandy at such a young age. Ever since I watched the movie I've been in love with Grease. It's such a great movie and experience, and I've met so many awesome people."
Doors open for tonight's show at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 7 30. There are also two shows on Saturday, one in the afternoon at 1:30 p.m. and an evening show at 7:30 p.m.
Producer for the show Hannah Robinet was happy to announce that their Friday showing is officially sold out. You can visit the CASS website for more information.
