Several events planned for today have been cancelled or postponed including Forks and Corks, Bullwinkles, The Probus Club of Oxford Monthly Meeting and all CMHA Oxford programming.
Another round of strong winds, heavy snow, mixed with freezing rain this afternoon has caused a number of cancellations in the region. The following is list of cancellations and closures for tonight because of the weather:
- The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is postponing their annual Forks and Corks event scheduled for this evening. The Chamber of Commerce is hoping to reschedule the event. We will provide you with an update as soon as it becomes available.
- Bullwinkle's Cafe and Eatery inside the Moose Lodge is cancelled today because of the inclement weather.
- The Probus Club of Oxford Monthly meeting at the Quality Hotel this morning is cancelled because of the weather.
- All of the CMHA Oxford programs scheduled for today have been cancelled. This includes their Woodstock office at 522 Peel Street, the Woodstock Drop-In at 522 Peel Street, the Ingersoll office at 19 King Street East, the Tillsonburg office at 167 Rolph Street, and the Ingersoll Walk-In Counselling at 19 King Street East. They ask that anyone requiring require mental health, addictions, or crisis support, call Reach Out 24/7 at 1-866-933-2023.
- Due to the severe weather and impending freezing rain this afternoon all Oxford County Library branches are closed and all programs are cancelled today.
- The Small Business Centre have decided to cancel all scheduled daytime workshops as well as our scheduled “Bill 47” Employers Presentation which was to have been held at the Woodstock Art Gallery this evening. All workshops and the “Bill 47” presentation will be rescheduled for later dates.
- South Gate Centre in Woodstock is cancelling all of their programs scheduled for this afternoon and evening.
- BBBS of Woodstock has cancelled their SOAR program scheduled for this evening and they will be closing their office at noon today.
- Due to the weather, garbage and recycling collection may be delayed for residents in Ingersoll Please check http://wasteline.ca for any updates with changing weather conditions.
- Oxford Dairy Producers Committee Meeting at the Quality Hotel has been cancelled for this evening.
- The City of Woodstock has cancelled all Parks and Recreation and Aquatics Registered Programming and All Woodstock & Area Small Business Enterprise Centre Events, Courses and Workshops.
- Woodstock Legion General Meeting cancelled for tonight.
- The sparks and brownie event tonight has been cancelled at the Dundas St. United Church.
- The Woodstock Library is closing at 5:00 pm. today because of the storm.
- The Dart League at the Moose Lodge is cancelled because of the weather.
- The Wellkin Child & Youth Mental Wellness centre in Woodstock is closed for the day because of the weather.
- The Beachville District Museum has cancelled their speaker series scheduled for tonight.
- The Woodstock Library speaker guest and noted storm chaser, David T. Chapman scheduled for tonight has been postponed until February 21st.
- Brant Sports Complex, Burford Community Centre, South Dumfries Community Centre and Syl Apps Community Centre are all closing at 4:00 p.m. today.
- Tuesday night guiding(sparks, brownies, guides, pathfinders) at St James Anglican Church in Ingersoll is cancelled.
- KICK N FX Martial Arts will be Closed tonight for classes due to weather.
- Woodstock Mens Oldtimers League AGM for tonight has been re-scheduled for next Tuesday evening.
- Fusion Youth Centre in Ingersoll is closed today and all programs for today are cancelled due to the poor weather conditions.
