WOODSTOCK - They still have one more spot for a foursome at the 19th annual Bob McFarland Memorial Golf Classic happening this Saturday.
It will be the sixth year the tournament honours the late Bob McFarland, organized by the South Gate Centre.
Operations Manager Felise Jones says this is always one of their most popular events.
"I think everybody enjoys golf in itself, but it's playing with a purpose. So you come, you have fun and then you know that your money is going to a good cause and that cause of course being the charity at the South Gate Centre."
This year's tournament will be in a scramble format and proceeds will go back to the South Gate Centre, supporting programs for seniors within Woodstock and the surrounding area.
Jones says their Local Roots Catering will provide dinner following the fundraiser.
"Woodstock Meadows has generously given us their golf course again this year to use, and then we come back here for a barbecue and steak dinner."
Tickets cost $95.00. If anyone is interested in purchasing a ticket, you can visit or call the South Gate Centre at 519-539-9817.
The Bob McFarland Memorial Golf Classic is this Saturday September 14th at Woodstock Meadows. They are almost completely sold out with one spot for a foursome still remaining.
