Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to Museum Square for Bark In The Park on May 25th.
WOODSTOCK - Downtown Woodstock BIA and Tiny Paws Rescue are partnering up to put on Bark in The Park.
The fundraiser will see vendors gather at Museum Square, selling items for dog owners.
Manager of the Downtown Woodstock BIA, Virginia Armstrong says there will be a variety of items on hand to buy.
"There's quite a variety. So it will be everything from if you need a new leash for your dog, you need a little bow tie or some clothes. I think there's going to be quite a variety."
In addition to the several items spectators can buy, there will also be sidewalk sales happening from local businesses from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
She says it's a fun time for everyone in the community.
"I just think that downtown is the hub of the community and all-inclusive and we just want everybody to come out and have a great time. Hopefully the weather is going to be great and it's just a lot of fun, it's just a lot of fun. Even if you don't own a pet, I love it. I get to come out and see everybody with their animals, it's just a great experience."
Armstrong adds all dogs are welcome. She says there may even be some vendors with rescue dogs.
"Quite often there will be locations setup within the vendors, that perhaps even offer rescue dogs. So if somebody is interested adopting a dog, it would be a great opportunity for them to come down and see what we have."
People can also participate in a free lure course with their dog at the event and they can get a picture of their pet for just $5.00.
The event will be on May 25th, going from 10:00am to 4:00pm. It is free to attend.
Proceeds will go towards Tiny Paws Rescue and Wienerfest.
