A two-day trade show is in Woodstock to promote public works.
WOODSTOCK - A two-day trade show has made its way to Woodstock.
The Association of Ontario Road Supervisors Municipal Public Works Trade Show gives public and private sector public works professionals the ability to share information and technical developments in the materials, services and equipment required to build and maintain municipal roads and other core infrastructure. It also provides suppliers of municipal equipment, products and services to meet with customers from across the province in one location, and develop new business relationships and explore new territories as it moves around the Province. Mayor of Woodstock, Jerry Acchione gives his thoughts of having an event like this in the city.
"That is fantastic to see that a show like this of this scale is being held here in the city of Woodstock and so openly with so many people here today."
Acchione says how this benefits the City.
"Well, this puts us on the map. We all know the City of Woodstock is a beautiful, friendly place to be, but now others get to be here and see it, sometimes for the first time."
The event is taking place at the Woodstock Fairgrounds and hosted by the Oxford County Road Supervisors Association.
