The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is hosting an All Candidates Breakfast focusing on local economy and businesses.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is hosting an All Candidates Breakfast on October 9th at the Quality Hotel and Suites.
Incumbent Conservative Dave MacKenzie, Zoe Kunschner with the NDP, Don McKay representing the Liberals and the Christian Heritage Party's Melody Aldred will all be in attendance on Friday October 9th. The candidate for the Green Party Mike Farlow has not confirmed his attendance as of this writing. General Manager of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Martha Dennis says their members will all be invited, however the debate is open to the public as well.
"If they have an interest in the economy and local business issues, it certainly is appropriate for members of the community to participate."
The forum starts at 8 a.m. and will start with questions centred around the economy and how candidates will support local businesses, and they will also have time for a Q and A from the audience at the end as well.
"Some of the questions will be about transfer payments and the impact of Ontario transfer payments," says Dennis. "There will also be questions around the TPP, the Trans Pacific Agreement."
