OXFORD COUNTY - Radios, TVs, smartphones, and tablets will sound off in Oxford County and across the rest of the country.
Alert Ready tests will be taking place in all of the provinces and territories today. Here in Ontario, the test is scheduled for 12:55 p.m.
Alert Ready is Canada's emergency alerting system that notifies the public whenever there is an urgent matter in their immediate area. This includes tornado warnings, flash floods, forest fires, and amber alerts.
The system is always tested twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. However, Quebec only undergoes one test in the fall each year.
You can find more information about Alert Ready online here.
