Grab your yoga mat and head to downtown Woodstock every Tuesday for Yoga in the Square.
WOODSTOCK - Today is international yoga day, which is fitting because it is also the start of yoga in the square in downtown Woodstock.
The local BIA is hosting free yoga every Tuesday downtown thanks to their sponsor Radiant Health Yoga. Every Tuesday at 12:10 people are invited to Museum Square take part in a group yoga. Manager of the Downtown Woodstock BIA Kelly Morrison tells Heart FM they will have trained yoga instructors on hand.
"Four of our member businesses will rotate teaching the class each week or yoga instructing, they are Radiant Health Yoga, Reflections Yoga and Wellness, the Pumphouse and our associate member the YMCA."
Morrison says they do have a few yoga mats and they are available on a first come first serve basis or you can bring your own. She adds you don't have to be a yoga expert to get out.
"I'm a yoga newbie as I have labelled myself so it is a great opportunity if you have always wanted to give it a try and were reluctant, this way it's in a nice environment with classes to suit everybody including us newbie's and have some fun over lunch and it's free so really there is no excuse not to give it a try."
