WPS: Lock It or Lose It

Woodstock Police say many drivers are inviting thieves to break into their vehicles. On Saturday, WPS Auxiliary officers canvassed some of the popular shopping areas of Woodstock. They were checking to see how many drivers were locking up their vehicles. Of 460 vehicles that were checked, there were 25 vehicles that were left unlocked. Police say many of those vehicles had left valuables out in plain sight, including GPS units and cell phones. Even wallets and purses were left just sitting on the seats. Police remind motorists to lock up their vehicles, and don't leave valuables in plain sight.
