A Ford Drive For Your Community Fundraiser has raised $5,200 for the Woodstock Wildcats Association.
WOODSTOCK - A Ford Drive 4UR Community Fundraiser has raised $5,200 for the Woodstock Wildcats Association.
Lots of members of the community got behind the wheel of a Ford on October 28th, in order to help the local girls hockey club.
Event Coordinator Bill Hooker was impressed with the turnout, even with the poor weather conditions.
"It was a rainy day at the Community Complex but people turned out to help support the event and it ended up being what we consider a success."
Club President Marc Depatie says the money will be put to good use.
"The donation is really going to be used for development for the girls, bringing in high level training that we normally would not be able to afford and that extra money is going to help pay for that."
The Wildcats train alongside Kelly Paton, a Woodstock native who is currently the head coach of the women's hockey team at Western University.
