Those participating in the Story Walk will be able to the individual pages to a storybook at local businesses in the downtown area.
WOODSTOCK - A walk that also allows you to learn is in downtown Woodstock.
The Woodstock Public Library along with the TD Summer Reading Club is putting a Story Walk.
Manager of Public Services for the Library, Megan Cook says that this is a great way to get out and explore the city.
"It's an educational activity that really promotes learning and exploring our community. So, individual pages of a particular storybook are found at local businesses around Woodstock."
Cook goes on to say that you can find out the route by using the map of the event.
"It is open to the public, there is no registration required. We have pamphlets at the Library and at most of the storefronts, just indicating what all the storefronts are and what order to visit all the shops in."
This year the book being used is "Treasure", which is a story that follows two siblings on a treasure hunt in the forest. It encourages readers to appreciate the everyday wonders of the natural world!
The Story Walk will continue to run until Saturday, September 2nd.
