A pair of drivers in Woodstock have been charged as Police were out on enforcement over the Thanksgiving Weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have laid charges after a driver fled a traffic stop.
Shortly after midnight yesterday, officers tried to conduct a stop on Salter Ave after noticing a vehicle being driven without proper rear lights. The driver took off at a high rate of speed, but later turned themself in.
As a result, a youth has been charged with flight from a peace officer, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock man is in trouble with police.
Yesterday at 8 p.m. Woodstock Police saw a vehicle fail to stop at a red light at Wilson and Peel Streets, and gave the driver a roadside breath test.
The test showed a blood alcohol concentration above 0, and the driver was holding a novice licence. Also, open beer cans, and a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine was found.
A 34-year-old is now facing a count each of failure to stop at a red light, driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor, being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol concentration above zero, and possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine.
