Twenty-two Peavey Mart stores will close by the end of April, 2025.
WOODSTOCK - Say goodbye to the Woodstock Peavey Mart.
Peavey Industries has announced the closure of 22 Peavey Mart locations across Ontario and Nova Scotia, and the Woodstock store is one of them.
The company says it's reallocating resources to markets with a stronger performance while addressing the "underperforming locations" at the same time. This is all part of a strategy to optimize their retail footprint.
President and CEO Doug Anderson says they have partnered with Gordon Brothers Realty Services, LLC for this transition.
"The Canadian retail environment has faced significant disruption over recent years, and Peavey has not been immune to these challenges. We recognize that difficult decisions like these are necessary to create a more stable foundation for the long-term success of our business. While this is a step forward, it’s part of an ongoing process to adapt and rebuild in response to changing market dynamics."
