A 23 year old man from Woodstock has been charged with assault with a weapon after allegedly pointing a firearm at a woman in the downtown core.
WOODSTOCK - A 23 year old man from Woodstock has been charged with assault with a weapon after allegedly pointing a firearm at a woman in the downtown core.
The gun, turned out to be a replica, but of course the woman would not have known that. Police say the man first approach the woman in her vehicle Friday evening around 6:30 in the area of Finkle and Simcoe Streets. He pointed his weapon at the female before leaving the area on foot according to Police.
He was arrested a short while later in the area of Dundas and Riddell. He was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of an imitation firearm for a dangerous purpose and using an imitation firearm during an indictable offence.
