WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Football Club and Whitecaps London have made a major announcement today.
Effective immediately, the Whitecaps London will have a Player Movement affiliation with the Woodstock Football Club.
This means Woodstock F.C. players will have a developmental opportunity to play in the OPDL. President of the Woodstock Soccer Club says this is a great opportunity for the F.C. players.
“What a wonderful opportunity for the players and coaches of Woodstock FC to work hand-in-hand with Whitecaps
London! The combined effort will only lead to enhanced performance and success for our youth program. Looking forward to a fantastic partnership.”
Former Canadian National Team Player and Woodstock F.C. Head Coach and Technical Director Iain Hume says this is exciting news for the team.
“Great to see our club moving in this direction. I sincerely believe that exciting times are ahead for Woodstock Soccer Club and I’m really looking forward to getting started with this partnership.”
Whitecaps London Head Coach & Technical Director Pedro Dias is looking forward to seeing F.C. players on the pitch.

The Ontario Player Development League or OPDL launched in 2014 and is one the Province's first standards-based youth high performance league that combines top level competition with strict high performance training standards.
