Chamber and non-chamber members have until August 14th to fill it out.
WOODSTOCK - Calling all small business owners in Woodstock!
The Chamber of Commerce has launched an online survey in order to get some local perspective on the challenges small businesses face.
Operations Assistant Kim Whitehead gives us an example of one of the questions.
"A lot of our current business owners are ready to retire, so we want to know if they have a retirement plan. That's important because if they are retiring and the business owners can't find somebody to buy the business, that leaves a hole in our local economy for that business and they might have to go out of town to find that service."
General Manager Mike Crabbe says the results of the survey could make a difference.
"We're able to bring it forward for a conversation with the Minister of Small Business (Nina Tangri) to help make some change here in our community advocacy wise."
You can find the survey online here. It takes about seven minutes to fill it out, and it must be done before the deadline on Thursday, August 14th. The survey is open to chamber and non-chamber members.
A business must have less than 100 employees to be classified as small business.
Mike Crabbe and Kim Whitehead stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday July 30th. You can listen to the full interview below:
