UPDATE: The wind warning for Oxford County has been lifted. Around 900 Hydro One customers from Thamesford to Lakeside should have their power restored by 7:00 pm tonight.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for much of Southwestern Ontario, including Oxford County.
Strong winds are expected to start early this afternoon, with gusts reaching 90 km/h in some areas. The southwesterly winds are expected to strengthen around noon with the passage of a cold front.
Severe winds can cause damage to buildings, toss loose objects or cause trees to break. Power outages are also possible.
