OPP have closed off a section of Highway 402 from London to Strathroy because of whiteout conditions.
LONDON - A heads up for travellers today as the Highway 402 has been closed due to whiteout conditions.
OPP closed the highway at 3:00 pm today from Highway 401 to Nauvoo Road west of Strathroy. Police are currently at the scene dealing with several collisions and vehicles in the ditch. We will keep you posted when the highway is re-opened.
The OPP is urges motorists to remain safe and avoid travel until the conditions improve and the roadways re-open. All motorists are encouraged to check weather and road travel conditions by calling 5-1-1 or checking online at www.Ontario.ca/trip for up to date road conditions for provincially maintained highways.
