This weekend marks the 23rd annual Welcome Back To Otterville studio tour.
OTTERVILLE - Several local artists will be displaying their work at this weekend's Welcome Back To Otterville studio tour.
Artists, artisans and shops from around Otterville will be displaying their work, ranging from original paintings to unique, handmade greeting cards.
Organizer Sue Goossens says people will be able to buy the artwork.
"It's easy to find, we've got lots of signage and you are just more than welcome to wander into people's homes, usually it's a confined area of the home where the artwork is. I do all original water colours so I have three different rooms where I display them and they're all for sale. And people are just encouraged to walk around, enjoy, not everybody wants to buy but some people just like to pick it out and check out what's new and different. And all the studios pretty much operate the same way."
It's a self-guided tour and she says people are welcome to walk around and meet seven artists across eight locations.
Ralph Moore & Sons will be one of the various artists who will be displaying their work.
Goossens says they not only encourage the community to attend, but aspiring artists too.
"When it started off, it was four artists and three shops in Ottterville and every year it changes. I think there is three new people on the tour this year that weren't on it before, some that were on it last year are not on it now. Some move away, some just go out of business, they get elderly. So it's just really a changing tour."
The tour is free and it runs tomorrow and on Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
