Elf the Musical will make its public debut tonight and it's WCI's first live stage show since 2019.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Collegiate Institute (WCI) is making its return to the live stage.
Elf the Musical will be performed in the school's auditorium starting tonight until Saturday and it will be the first time WCI has been live in front of the public since 2019 due to COVID. They have performed six shows for elementary schools so far this year.
David DeJonge is the director, and he says there are over 80 cast and crew members, and an additional 15 people in the orchestra.
"If you've never been to a WCI show, and many people haven't because it's been years, we go all out. This is near a professional-style production. We are renowned in all of the Thames Valley District School Board as being one of the top theatre schools and that's all because of the kids and their dedication and their talent."
Tickets are left for all of the shows, and they can be found here.
DeJonge, along with Briar and Cole who are playing Jovie and Buddy, joined Dan and Marcie in the studio yesterday morning to preview the show. You can listen to the full interview below, including a sneak peek performance from Briar and Cole.
