Two separate casts from WCI are in final rehearsals for their upcoming performances of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
WOODSTOCK - Students of the music theatre program at WCI produce a full scale musical each December and this year they are expecting a full house for their interpretation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
With a dedicated full orchestra as well as over 150 students involved in the production, theatre goers can expect quite the show. Two separate casts will be performing the musical.
Laurie Shultz, the Publicity and Front of the House Manager says it is a highly anticipated production.
"The costumes, and the sets and the props and the outstanding musical and vocal performances are going to wow everyone for sure."
The talented high school music theatre program has adapted a 2.5 hour performance follows the story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The show will feature some of the same music as the Disney film, yet Laurie Shultz says there are differences.
"This production is based more on the Victor Hugo novel, so it's a little bit darker than the cute Disney version, it's definitely going to be a family affair, but maybe older kids, grades 4 and up would be good."
The show runs December 13-16th at the WCI Auditorium. Tickets are $20 and is recommend for children over 10 years of age. For tickets, click here.
