There is a need for volunteers in the kitchen at Sakura House.
WOODSTOCK - VON's Sakura House is looking for volunteers.
The specific need is for people to help in the kitchen, and tasks include baking, preparing meals for patients, cleaning, stocking, and interacting with family and patients. Interested people will need to have a food handler’s certificate and a police check.
Shifts are 8 am-12 pm; 12 pm-4 pm; 4 pm-7 pm, 7 days a week, and the hope is to find volunteers who could do a minimum of 1 shift a week and create a consistent schedule with the other volunteers. Sakura House wants to ensure they have coverage in the kitchen for 12 hours each day.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and want more information, you can email sakuraHouse@von.ca.
