Habitat for Humanity Heartland is in need of a few extra hands in Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - Habitat for Humanity Heartland is on the lookout for some volunteers for their latest home.
They quite literally picked up a donated house in London and transported to its current address in Ingersoll last month.
The move went smoothly but CEO Brian Elliot says it's still an old home that needs a lot of work before the tenants move in.
"When you move a house there's a lot of work that has to be done to get it ready for a move. There will be some drywall repairs, work in the kitchen and bathrooms, the full exterior needs to be sided, new roof and eavestroughs. There's not a shortage of things that can be done on this one."
Elliot says you have to be at least 16 years old to volunteer on site.
"We take people from being fully skilled licensed individuals to those that may not have all that experience but have the heart and drive to volunteer. We have a site super that will help people who don't have those skill sets and trust me; there are always jobs on a job site."
Volunteers can register online here.
